Anne Klein
Anne
Klein followed her passion for felines and opened Backdoor
Friends on November 22, 1997. The idea of combining a luxury
boarding facility with a cat-themed gift store became a reality
after eight years of part-time entrepreneurial operations.
During this time, Anne retailed gift items at cat shows, produced
a cat-themed catalog, opened several boutiques at local craft
malls and operated a home party program featuring cat products.
“All this experience helped me organize my love of cats
and the fun of meeting fellow cat lovers into a full-time
business”.
Anne
provides a caring and safe environment for her guests with
a state-of–art security and smoke detection system.
The staff at Plaza Veterinarian Hospital, in Farmington Michigan,
provide emergency veterinarian care and on-call consulting
services. “All the employees at Backdoor Friends are
fully trained in cat behavior and are capable of dispensing
any medication including injections and subcutaneous fluids.
Most importantly, all my employees are passionate about cats”.
After
one year in business, Anne helped organize a non-profit 501©(3)
organization dedicated to rescuing homeless and displaced
cats. Thus, Backdoor Friends Purebred Cat Rescue was formally
incorporated. This organization has rescued and found homes
for hundreds of cats and kittens and is funded by private
donations, private grants and adoption/relinquishment fees.
Anne
welcomes you and your feline friends to her store.
